Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical (Northern) Ltd is committed to reducing its' environmental impact by minimising the amount of it's' emissions to air, land or water and reduction of waste. Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical (Northern) Ltd is also committed to best environmental practice in all aspects of its activities, where practicable, and specifically to the prevention of pollution, more efficient use of its' materials and to continual improvement of its' environmental practices.

Continuous improvement is central to the environmental philosophy of Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical (Northern) Ltd as is compliance with applicable legislative/regulatory requirements at local, national, international levels and with other requirements to which Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical (Northern) Ltd subscribes which relate to its' environmental aspects and the efficient use of its' materials thereby minimising wastage. Employees are encouraged and required to conduct their activities in an environmentally responsible manner.

A series of objectives and targets are established to reduce the environmental impacts of our activities. The effectiveness of these measures is evaluated as part of our management review and then communicated to all interested parties. Significant impacts have been evaluated and are documented with an appropriate management programme implemented to ensure that all practicable steps are taken to realise the objectives and targets and to reduce the impact of those activities identified as significant.

All staff are trained in specific Environmental Impacts and Aspects Assessments and in how to deal with abnormal / emergency situations where necessary.

The communication of information, available through the policy to staff, and education of Suppliers, Clients and interested parties, where Company knowledge and experience permits, forms a highly important element of the Company's commitment to this Environmental Policy.

Communication activities extend to making this policy statement and performance details with reference to objectives and targets, publicly available on request.

The above policy is in conjunction with Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical (Northern) Ltd overall Integrated Management Systems Policy, which generally sets out the overall management systems strategy for its' Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety related activities. This Policy will be communicated to staff on notice boards. Subcontractors and others working on behalf of the Company will receive a copy of this policy.
